Level 3 ITP Apprenticeship – First Day

I have been working with computers (software and hardware installation) for around 20 years and amassed a great deal of knowledge but no qualification, with the exception of my recent ECDL.  This apprenticeship with Swansea ITeC will give me the experience and qualifications which will be of mutual benefit and allow me to progress further, both personally and within the business.

I am keen to develop the networking aspect of IT and also move into the field of social media marketing, both of which are ever expanding and a necessity in any modern business model.

Did you find that your previous experience in IT allowed you to complete the ECDL it sooner than expected?

    • Monty says:

I found that I knew most of the coursework, but it was nice to be pleasantly surprised at how “wrongly” I was doing things within Excel and Word to get the finished product. Workarounds that were not needed, well not now, providing I remember them…

    Sorry for the typo 😉

  3. Leia says:

Already used to the madhouse then! 😉 Has Mark given you any ideas on modules?

    • Monty says:

Didn’t Russ Abbot have one of them?

Will be meeting with Mark tomorrow to discuss the modules, see which will be of greatest benefit.

EPOS have had a few apprentices with us now. They really “get it” 😉 Will you be doing some of the design side as well as the technical side there?

Look forward to destroying pc’s with you 🙂

  6. Monty says:

You destroy ’em, I’ll fix ’em 🙂

  7. Stella says:

Good to have you back with us, both as a learner and a member of staff 🙂
