After studying Welsh at GCSE level, I already knew a fair amount of the language.
Today, I learned that even fluent speakers make mistakes when they speak, and that we should never aim for our Welsh to be ‘perfect’, as it is very unlikely.
I didn’t like Welsh in school, therefore I have obtained a negative view towards our native language. I didn’t like the way we learnt it as it was very boring and not at all enjoyable.
I think learning Welsh is important nowadays because it gives you an advantage over non-Welsh speakers when you apply for jobs, and it is a good thing to know.
