Networking Workshop

On Tuesday we had a workshop with mark on networking and the different cables used in networking we learnt that there are 3 different types of cables used and each cable get progressively better  cat5 being the worst cat6 being the mid range cable and cat6a being the best they are all structured differently to the other. Cat5 is just all the inner cables together cat6 is insulated with a foil and cat6a is insulated by a plastic divider and a foil. We also learnt the structure of the cables inside that is goes white of orange, orange, white of green, blue, and white of blue, green, white of brown and brown. We also test the network by trying to create a game on a LAN network playing Serious Sam. We also learnt how to change the IP address on a computer.
